August 8, 1921 – February 6, 2020
Edna (Antonina Crocifissa) Gallant, 98, of Plymouth, MA, formerly of Nashua, NH and Chelsea, MA, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020. Born on August 8, 1921 in the North End of Boston MA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Guiffre) Angelo.
Edna was a devoted Catholic who cared deeply for Family and Friends. Edna took pride in always doing for others, particularly caring for her husband John, or working in her yard or house. Edna proudly volunteered for 7,432 hours at St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua for over 15 years.
Edna is survived by her daughter Rosemaree Collins and her husband Brian of Plymouth MA; sister Rose Polsi of Bradford, MA; grandchildren Heather Hallissey and her husband John of Plymouth, MA and Patrick Geary and his wife Laurie of Hudson, NH; great grandchildren Evan and Sean Hallissey and Owen Geary; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She is predeceased by her husband of 55 years John W. Gallant, and her brother Nicholas Angelo.
Edna’s Family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the incredible Staff at Benchmark/Plymouth Crossings and Beacon Hospice who treated Edna as Family and made her feel very loved.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday February 11, 2020 from 9:00-11:30 AM at the Zis-Sweeney & St. Laurent Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St. Nashua, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM at St. Joseph the Worker Parish, 777 W. Hollis St, Nashua NH, with a burial immediately following at St. Louis Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Edna’s name to Beacon Hospice, 32 Resnik Road, Suite 3 Plymouth, MA 02360

As her nephew, “Tommy”, I’ll always remember and cherish her big, bold, and boisterous Italian personality. I wish I had the opportunity to know her better, because she was a lot of fun. God rest her loving soul.
