

Erwin J. Bellis, 82, of Nashua, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 at St. Joseph Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was born on September 8, 1932, in Newark, NJ, the son of the late Erwin George and Alexina (Souliere) Bellis.
Erwin was a lifelong resident of Nashua, he attended Nashua schools and after high school he attended Northeastern University. He was a beloved husband and father to his family. He worked for Sanders Associates for 25 years before retiring; he also was an avid bowler on the league for Sanders Associates. Erwin really enjoyed playing cards, and was an avid bridge player; he earned the level of Silver life bridge master award. He also served in the Army during the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Adelia Bellis, of Nashua, four sons, David and Nancy Bellis of Mt. Airy, NC, Michael and Dawn Bellis of Plantsville, CT, Steven and Linda Bellis of Concord, NC, and Brian and Kareen Bellis of Mooresville, NC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, Lauren, Meagan, Rebecca, Christopher, Kristin, Kaitlin, Kevin, Matthew, and Jenna Bellis.
Visiting hours were held on Friday, June 12, 2015 from 4PM-8PM at the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley Street, Nashua, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial was on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at 10:00AM at the St. Louis de Gonzague Parish, 48 W. Hollis St. Nashua. Burial followed at St. Louis Cemetery, 752 W. Hollis St. Nashua. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Home Health and Hospice Care, 7 Executive Park Dr. Merrimack, NH 03054, and the Boys and Girls club of Greater Nashua, One Positive Place, Nashua, NH 03060.
