Frank Martinelli of Hudson, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 6, 2020, at Lahey Clinic Hospital, in Burlington, Mass. Frank was born on September 7, 1945 in Jersey City, NJ. He was the son of the late Louis and Mary (Mayes) Martinelli.
Frank grew up in Nahant and was educated in the Lynn school system. He served his country in the United States Navy until he was honorably discharged in 1968. He spent most of his career as a sales representative and then later on to become a partner of Mill Metals in Manchester, NH.
Frank, or “Franco” as his friends at the Cape called him, was an avid sports fan and he would always be cheering on his beloved New England teams. He enjoyed being outside and could be found gardening and maintaining his property. The neighborhood will miss his presence as he waved to everyone when they drove by the house. He carried a passion for his new cars, especially his truck, which he drove to and from the Cape. He enjoyed watching movies on the Turner Classic Movie channel and building model ships.
Frank was a proud father, husband, and grandfather. He loved watching his kids play sports, spending time with his family, friends, and grandkids. He was very generous, humble, beloved by all, and will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sandra Martinelli; sons Michael and Tony and daughter Angela; grandkids, Nathaniel, Matthew, and Elizabeth; family members and friends both near and far, who he always had a kind word for; and his partners and team at Mill Metals. He is predeceased by father, Louis Martinelli, stepfather, Carl Pillsbury, and mother, Mary Pillsbury.
A Graveside committal service with military honors will be held at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery at 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, N.H. 03303, at a later date.
In honor of Frank, the family asks for family and friends to wear New England sports attire during services.
