George graduated from Nashua High School, Class of 1945 as the class Valedictorian. He received the Pepsi Cola Scholarship which provided tuition, room and board as well as $50.00 per month to Harvard University. He then graduated from Harvard with honors. He was drafted by the U.S. Army and spent his time during the Korean Conflict in the Signal Corps. Following his discharge George attended Yale Law School and graduated Class of 1956. He returned to Nashua in 1968 following his father’s death and remained here since. George was a brilliant man, one of Nashua’s brightest with and encyclopedic mind. He played the violin with the Harvard Radcliff Orchestra and the Nashua Orchestra. He was fluent in Greek, French, Italian and German. During the later part of his life George suffered from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, yet still retained his keen mind.
He is survived by a brother; Dr. James Bouzoukis and his wife Delores T. of Greenville, DE and his nieces and nephews; Sandra Thomas of Los Gatos, CA, Charles J. Bouzoukis of Wilmington, DE, Dr. Carol E. Bouzoukis and her husband Robert B. Snowden of Wilmington, DE and James J. Bouzoukis, MD and his wife Kelly V. Bomer, MD of Scottsdale, AZ.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2013 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30am in St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church, 500 W. Hollis St., Nashua. Interment with military honors will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
