

Gerard A. Anctil, 78, of Nashua, died March 21, 2014 at St. Joseph Hospital after a brief illness. He was born on October 16, 1935 in Nashua the son of Emile and Thelma (Lapointe) Anctil and was a lifelong resident of the Gate City. He was educated in the local school system and was a graduate of Nashua High School.
Gerry was employed as a foreman with Ingersoll-Rand with over 40 years of service. He was also the past president of the St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church Parish Council. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Carol Gatsas Anctil.
Members of his family include his two sons Rev Nicholas Anctil and his wife Cynthia of White Plains, NY and John Anctil and his wife Anne of Litchfield, his three grandchildren Kalli Retelas and her husband Christopher, Danielle Anctil and Stacey Anctil, his five siblings as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held Tuesday March 25 from 5-8PM at the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home 26 Kinsley St., Nashua and on Wednesday March 26 from 10-11AM at St. Philip Greek Orthodox Church 500 W. Hollis St. Nashua followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.
