Joseph F. Belanger, 90, of Nashua, NH passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Aynsley Place in Nashua. He was born in Warren, RI on July 3, 1922, the son of the late Joseph and Mabel (Proulx) Belanger.
Joseph has been a Nashua resident for 50 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Joseph worked as an air traffic controller for Boston Air Traffic Control Center in Nashua for many years before his retirement. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol where he served as Captain, enjoyed watching WWII movies and loved spending time flying planes.
He is predeceased by his wife, Blanche (Larouque) Belanger in 1990, and a brother, Norman Belanger.
Joseph is survived by a son, Joseph E. Belanger, Sr. of Nashua; a sister, Mabel Bettencourt of Rehoboth, MA; two grandchildren, Danielle Zanco and her husband Jay of Nashua and Joseph E. Belanger, Jr. and his husband Alec of Nashua; a great grandson, Stephen Zanco also of Nashua; as well few nieces, nephews and cousins.
There were no calling hours, and all services were private. The ST. LAURENT FUNERAL HOME, 116 ELM STREET, NASHUA, NH 03060 is assisting the family with arrangements.
