July 5, 1930 – July 17, 2017
Margaret Ellen (Quigley) Theochares, 87, passed peacefully in her sleep on July 17, 2017. Best known as “Peggy” to family and friends, she was born July 5, 1930 to Walter and Margaret Quigley of White Plains, NY. She graduated from St. John’s High School and The Grace Institute in Manhattan. She met and married Nicholas “Nick” Theochares whom she loved deeply and shared 63 years of marriage. Peggy was predeceased by Nick in August of 2016, but is survived by; son George Theochares, his wife Donna Del Guidice and granddaughter Brittany of Methuen, MA; her daughter Laura (Theochares) Joubert, her husband Gary of Nashua, NH, grandsons, Jeffrey of Merrimack, NH and Ian of Auburn, NH; her sons; Michael of Quincy, MA and Timothy of Manchester, NH. She dearly loved her sister Theresa “Terri” and her husband Edmond LeDonne of Bedford, NY, their sons; Christopher of Milford, CT, Ronald and Gary also of Bedford, NY and many first cousins whom she adored.
Peggy worked for Amica Insurance until her first child was born. Thereafter, never short of sense of humor or adventure, she gathered the family and household moving to many states and countries, in pursuit of Nick’s career in the U.S. Air Force. Peggy was actively involved in community wherever she went, volunteering mostly in things concerning the activities of her children. She was a voracious reader, who had a love of gardening, working with stained glass, making and dressing bisque dolls and genealogy. In her own words, “All in all it was a very good life”.
Warmth, wit, humor and love beyond measure, Peggy will be missed by all who knew her.
The Theochares Family wishes to acknowledge the kindness and professionalism of the staff at Langdon Place, Nashua, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at 10:00AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 216 E Dunstable Rd. Nashua.
