

Marion J. Mateoska, 79, a two and a half year resident of Ledgewood Bay, Milford, NH, formerly of Nashua, NH passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2014 at Ledgewood Bay. She was born May 3, 1935 in Nashua, a daughter of the late Adam and Anna (Narkunas) Sweklo.
Mrs. Mateoska was a communicant of St. Casmir Parish in Nashua and was active with the Women’s Guild, it’s choir as well as with the Knights of Columbus. She worked in the bakery department at Kealey Farms, food service for the Nashua School District, and was also previously employed as a secretary for Ingersoll-Rand. Her proudest moments came from being a homemaker, where her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were very important to her. She enjoyed her pets, tending to her garden, and travel.
She is survived by a son; Brian Mateoska of Nashua, two daughters; Diane Tennis and her husband Gary of Pelham, NH and Susan Tulley and her husband Mark of Hollis, NH, five grandchildren; Kristen Goocher, Jason Tennis, Shawn Tennis, Jarad Tulley and Jordan Tulley, two great-grandchildren; Amber Tennis and Shannon Goocher and also by two brothers; John Sweklo and his wife Christine of Hadley, MA and Joseph Sweklo and his wife Janice of Nashua, her uncle; Veto Narkunas of Mason, NH and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Mateoska in 1983 and by a great-granddaughter; Cassandra Goocher in 2007.
A private Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated with interment that followed in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hudson, NH. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Nashua Humane Society, 24 Ferry Rd., Nashua, NH 03064.
