Merita St. Onge Thibodeau, 69 of Nashua, N.H. passed away peacefully at her home on January 12, 2017, after a lengthy illness. She was born on May 6, 1947, daughter of the late Raymond St. Onge and the late Rita St. Onge. Merita was the wife of Paul Thibodeau, whom she met in junior high school and fell in love at the age of 14. After dating for 10 years, they tied the knot and shared a happy 45 years of marriage . A lifelong resident of Nashua, she attended local schools and graduated from Nashua High School class of 1965. After completion of high school, she worked as a secretary at Sanders Assoc. for several years up until the birth of her son, Aaron, at which time she became a fulltime homemaker. Merita’s life revolved around her husband and son, lifelong friends and extended family members. Beautiful in all ways, body, mind, spirit and soul, she was a wonderful person that was generous to a fault and never spoke poorly of anyone. She was an adoring mother and grandmother and always true to her lifelong friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Merita was the consummate hostess, lovingly referred to by her friends and family, as the Martha Stewart of Nashua, she had a passion for entertaining, whether it was for a pool party, holiday party or any informal gatherings. Always eager to have visitors, no matter what time of day. She was an excellent cook and loved to redecorate the house at every change of season. Merita loved shopping and loved travelling, especially to Maui, Bermuda, Palm Springs, and Europe, where she fell in love with Venice. She loved spending summer weekends at Lake Winnisquam and Lake Winnipasaukee with friends and family. Merita was predeceased by her parents, Raymond and Rita St. Onge, twin granddaughters, Briar and Kinlee Thibodeau.

Besides Merita’s loving husband, Paul, she is survived by her adoring son, Aaron, his wife Tiffinie and Granddaughter Finlan.
