On the beach in Florida walking his daughter, Celia, down the isle. This was one of the greatest days for us as a family. (My Dad had just whispered to Celia how he knew she’d be the only daughter he’d walk down an isle.) 😂

It’s been 3 months since my Dad passed away. Having these kind words to read help me to stay positive. My dad was a kind and caring soul here in the physical world. I have no doubt, Dad, that you are just as magnificent on the other side. I am so proud of you, Dad. You are going to be something great and I’m so grateful that God gave me you for a dad. I love you so much!

Meet me in the stars,

Lindsey Gayle

I was saddened to read of Monte’s passing. I went to school with him starting in 1965 at John Tyler Elementary in OKC, then Westwood from 4-6 th grade. From there we went to Jackson Middle School 7-8 th grade and by the time High School started desegregation was full blown and we were both looking forward to being Redskins ( Capitol Hill ) but at least one of us made it there. I never forgot his birthday being May 2 for some reason. He was a tough kid as we all had to be and I remember he loved to play “horse” with the basketball. We were on the Southside Tigers baseball team and Monte was a good pitcher. Been since 1975 or so since I seen him at Jackson. Middle school. My heart goes out to his family and I’m glad he was surrounded by loved ones.

One of the kindest souls I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Monte was a true gentleman, always had a kind word, and always was willing to listen. He will be missed. My condolences to the Coffman family for their loss.

Monte you will truly be missed you where not just a coworker but a good friend. Going to miss our conversations and fiber outages we always seemed to be on with you forgetting to hit the mute button. The office is not the same without you being there.

To the Coffman Family,

I did not know Monte well, and only met him a few times at our company Supervisor meetings, and I know he was a great guy. I am so very sorry to hear of Monte's passing, and I pray that God grace will comfort you, and ease your pain and suffering through this extremely difficult time. I lost my wife a couple of weeks ago, and I know exactly how you must be feeling. Peace be with all of Monte's family.
