She was hired by Improved Machinery at the age of 16 and worked for Walter Barker. She moved up the ranks in her 50 plus years of employment there, finally ending up running the stock room where she earned her nick name The Dragon lady for her demanding nature and the need for everything to be done right. She was extremely proud of her 99% inventory accuracy. She was also proud of being mentioned in Who’s Who in American Business. While at Impco, she made many lifelong friends such as Rose Spence, Sandy Hayes and others too numerous to mention. She also enjoyed taking her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren out to their favorite restaurant for their birthday.
She not only worked full time but also married and had four children. She is survived by her daughters Victoria Ylonen and Cynthia Greenleaf and her husband Michael, grandsons, Jason Greenleaf and his Southern belle Dalisa, Ryan Greenleaf and his fiery redhead Maura McGowan, Scott Greenleaf and his Latin cutie David Robles. Great grandchildren include, Paige, Reece, Quinn, Tyler and Piper Greenleaf.
Even at the age of ninety, she volunteered at St. Joseph hospital every day until she fell Ill. How will people ever know how to sign into the computer outside the lab now?
