Ruth M. (Prentice) Dunn

Ruth M. (Prentice) Dunn, 88 of Hollis, NH passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA. She was born October 14, 1926 in New Haven, CT, daughter of the late Clifford D. and May E. (Mead) Prentice.

Mrs. Dunn had been a resident of Hollis since 2003, prior to that she had lived in Orlando, FL and Stratford, CT. She retired from the Town of Stratford School Cafe in 1988 after 27 years of service. Mrs. Dunn was a member of the Hollis Seniors and the Eastern Star (Azalea Chapter No. 2 O.E.S.) in Stratford. She loved to travel and with her husband had a motor home in which they went cross country several times. She also enjoyed watching the Red Sox and Patriots. Most important to her though were her family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters; Barbara Page and her husband John of High Point, NC and Jackie Bozzuto and her husband John of Hollis, four grandchildren; Michael Kennedy and his wife Kristie and Daryl Kennedy and his wife Carly, all of Nazareth, PA, Dr. Laura Bozzuto of Philadelphia, PA and Lisa April and her husband Timothy of Acton, MA, three great grandchildren; Colleen, Chase and Skylar Kennedy and also by two brothers; Clifford Prentice and his wife Eleanor of Shrewsbury, MA and Nelson Prentice and his wife Ginger of Ocala, FL. She was predeceased by her husband of 64 years; John P. Dunn in 2012 and also by a sister; Dorothy Beauchemin.

Visiting hours were held Tuesday, December 23, 2014 from 3:00pm to 7:00pm in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. A funeral service was held at 10:00am Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment followed in St. Louis de Gonzague Cemetery, 752 W. Hollis St., Nashua. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, 2 Commerce Dr., Bedford, NH 03110.
