Sandra Louise Cron (née Lapierre), 80, of Dover, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of generosity, warmth, and lifelong exploration. Throughout her life, Sandra was defined by her steadfast commitment to being a caretaker, always putting others first, and her incredible strength and capability to tackle hard tasks with determination and grace.
Sandra was born on August 19, 1946, in Concord, New Hampshire, to the late Charles and Clara “Sandy” Lapierre. She graduated from Concord High School in 1964 and went on to earn her degree from Westbrook College in 1966. Sandra dedicated 40 years of her life to caring for others as a gentle and friendly dental hygienist.
A deeply compassionate and dedicated mother and daughter, Sandra was known for her open heart and outgoing spirit. She would hold a conversation with anyone she met and instantly make them feel like a friend. Sandra loved cooking, gardening, bird watching, and taking in the quiet moments and ocean air from her sunroom overlooking Frenchman Bay.
In 2004, Sandra and her beloved husband, Will, embarked on an exciting new chapter by moving to Corea, Maine. There, they built a vibrant, deeply connected community of friends. Together, they spent countless days exploring the Maine coast and wildlife, enjoying shared meals, adventures on the water, hiking and home projects both inside and out. Sandra and Will enjoyed supporting local artists through the Schoodic Arts Festival, where they loved taking classes together. She was also a supporter of the Schoodic Food Pantry.
Sandra was predeceased by her husband, William Cron, with whom she shared 35 wonderful years of marriage and by her brother, Charles "Chip" Lapierre.
She is survived by her children, Reid (Carey) and Rob (Tamar); her stepchildren, Will, Rich, and Carol; and her grandchildren, Finley, Corinne, Arlo, Rosalie, Crystal, and Heather; and her niece, Amy Weaver.
A graveside celebration of life will be held on October 3, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Blossom Hill Cemetery in Concord, New Hampshire, followed by a luncheon.
