Wolfeboro, NH – Sharry Lynn (Polen) Feintech-Israel, 83, of Wolfeboro passed away on June 6, 2025, at the Taylor Community surrounded by family. She was born September 27, 1941, to her late parents, Benjamin Z. and Ruth C. (Brody) Polen in Aurora, Illinois. Sharry believed in the value of secondary education and obtained her master’s degree in human growth and development. Sharry was many things to many different people; she was a daughter, sister, mother, wife and a professor. But to those that mattered the most, she was a kind and thoughtful mother, grandmother, and friend. Sharry will be remembered for her selflessness, her sweetness, good nature and her generosity, always willing to help those who were less fortunate than herself. One of her final thoughts was that she was “spreading happiness on the table.”
As the beloved matriarch of her family, Sharry is survived by her daughter Jennifer Higgins & her husband Daryn, her stepson David Israel, her stepdaughter Debbie Israel. She was also the cherished grandmother to her five grandchildren; Benjamin, Nathan, & Isabel Higgins, and Carly & Ellie Israel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Howard Israel and her brother Mark Polen.
