

Stanley Parzych, 93, of Nashua, NH passed away on Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the Greenbriar Terrace Nursing Home. He was born December 2, 1918 in Utica, NY, son of the late Frank and Eleanora (Baldyga) Parzych. He was a resident of Nashua since 1925, coming here at the age of 7 and graduated from Nashua High School, Class of 1937.
Mr. Parzych served with the U.S. Army during WWII as a Sergeant with the 197th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Group in the Pacific. He was a communicant of St. Christopher Church, Nashua. He had worked as a foreman in the coating division for Nashua Corp. for 38 years prior to his retirement. Mr. Parzych loved to golf. He was a member of the Amherst and Manchester County Clubs and had 3 holes in 1 during his time golfing. He even played golf at Old St. Andrews Course, the highlight of his trip to Scotland.
Stanley was a devoted, gentle and caring husband, father and grandfather whose countless acts of love shall always be cherished by his family. His humility and hard work earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Phyllis (Seguin) Parzych of Nashua, a son; Steven Parzych and his wife Denise of Merrimack, NH, a daughter; Kathleen Ross and her husband Richard of Richford, VT. Six grandchildren; Christian and Sean Parzych, Christopher Stark, Joshua Stark and his wife Sara, Jay Dichard and his wife Mary and Melanie Bruntjen and her husband Eric. Eleven great-grandchildren; Owen, Wyatt, Hudson, Katie and Christopher Stark, Megan and Zachary Dichard, Aidan and Riley Parzych and Win and Ona Bruntjen. He is also survived by his sister in law; Ruth Parzych of Nashua and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three brothers; Edward, Joseph and Walter Parzych and a sister; Helen Bombl.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 3:00pm to 8:00pm in the Zis-Sweeney Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua. The funeral service will be held at 10:00am Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, Hudson, NH. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Merrimack Hospice House, 210 Naticook Rd., Merrimack, NH 03054. The family would like to thank the medical staff and all those involved in Stanley and Phyllis’ lives at Greenbriar, as well as to thank Jamie and Brian, their wonderful neighbors.
