She was born in Hooksett, NH on June 7, 1929 the daughter of Harry and Cecile (Beauregard) Smith. Theresa moved from Hooksett to Nashua at an early age and resided in the Gate City for over 60 years before relocating to Manchester. She was educated in the Nashua School System. She worked briefly for Sprague Electric but her true vocation was that of a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Family members include her two sons Leonard Bibeau and his wife Mary Ellen of Indianapolis, IN and Donald Bibeau and his wife Diane of Hampton, NH, her nine grandchildren Stephanie West, Stephanie Campbell, Adina Gingras, Hallie Bibeau, Stacy McMurtrey, Clifford Bibeau, Michelle Bibeau, Gabrielle Bibeau, and Abby Bibeau, her five great-grandchildren Audrey Campbell, Meredith Bibeau, Jack Campbell, Ruby McMurtrey and Clifford Bibeau, her brother Maurice Smith and his wife Jeannette of Nashua, and her three sisters Doris LeBlanc of Lady Lake, Fl, Helen Fraser of Nashua and Simonne Bouley and her husband Robert of Pembroke.
She was pre-deceased by her husband of 35 years Rene Bibeau in1982, her daughter Marlene Bibeau in 1999 and her son Armand Bibeau in 2010.
Calling hours were held on Thursday April 14, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the St. Laurent Funeral Home 116 Elm St. Nashua. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday April 15, 2011 at 10AM in St. Joseph the Worker Church. Burial followed in St. Louis De Gonzague Cemetery, Nashua. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Theresa’s name to the Community Hospice House 210 Naticook Rd. Merrimack, NH 03054.
