Theresa “Terry”, M. Levesque, 87 of Nashua, passed away in the loving company of her 3 daughters on Thursday July 12, 2018 at St Teresa Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Manchester after a brief period of declining health.
Terry was born February 19th, 1931 in Jamaica NY; the daughter of the late Charles P and Mary A (McGowan) Schmit. Terry was educated by The Sisters of the Dominican order; and worked briefly for The Great American Insurance Company in New York; prior to meeting and marrying Robert “Bob” Levesque on June 8, 1952; and embarking on a partnership supporting his career in the US Navy for 22 years. Service that took them to duty stations in Canada, Italy and the United States. Upon his Navy retirement, they moved back to his boyhood home of Nashua. Terry remained a loving and supportive wife and mother; raising a family of 5 children. She worked for many years as a caregiver in her home for a number of children who received as much love and guidance as her own.
Terry is survived by her children; Gary Levesque and his wife Mary Ellen of Merrimack, Michelle Levesque of Nashua, Patricia Levesque of White River Junction VT, Denise McPherson and her husband Ronald of Deerfield NH, Christopher Levesque and his wife Jacqueline of Issaquah WA.
She was kind; loving and supportive of her grandchildren & their spouses: Jeffrey Levesque, Rebecca Jewell & husband Thomas, Mimi Levesque, Madeline Levesque, Kyle McPherson, Philip McPherson, Michael Levesque & wife Katherine, Aimée Levesque & Jared Levesque. In her last year; she was blessed with her first great grandchild; Theodore Levesque. She received great joy watching videos of his antics.
Terry was predeceased by her parents; her husband Bob; a sister Virginia Byrne of Virginia Beach Virginia. Terry is survived by a sister; Sr. Margaret Schmit, OP, of Brooklyn NY. As well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family thanks the staff of St Teresa’s for their truly personal support and care for Terry.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 5:30PM-8:30PM at the Zis-Sweeney & St. Laurent Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley St., Nashua, NH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at St. Christopher Church, 62 Manchester St., Nashua, NH with burial immediately following at Edgewood Cemetery.
