Barbara was a beloved hairstylist who took pride in her work, and loved to entertain, a common line of hers being “I am a beautician, not a magician.” She was the eccentric owner of Heavenly Biscuit Restaurant, where people traveled from miles around to enjoy her warm hospitality and signature dishes. Newcomers would leave as friends if she was around to talk to them. Her caring nature and dedication shown through all of her works, she was kind and loved to smile. She loved to tell jokes, and lauded herself to be a “professional” comedian, having been paid once for her comedy routine. She loved music, she loved to play piano and she loved to sing.
A gathering of family and friends for Barbara will be held Friday, November 1, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 St. Rd. 135 North, Nashville, Indiana 47448, followed by a celebration of life funeral service at 7:00 PM.
