Betty (Skinner) Bush, of Nashville, age 91, passed away May 28, at Brown County Health & Living Community. She was born July 30, 1918 in Kelp, IN. (Brown County), to Jason & Mary Estella (Read) Skinner.
She was a former employee of William H. Block Co. working in retail sales, former member of the Nashville United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, she liked to fish with a cane pole, liked to cook. She was a loving mother, & loved family gatherings.
She is survived by three sons & two daughters, Richard “Dick” Houston, of Winter Haven, FL., formerly of Nashville, David G. Houston, Indianapolis, Patricia D. “Tabor” (Houston) Baise, Charlottesville, IN., Kathryn “Kathy” (Bush) Melevage, Avon, IN., James Kenneth “Kenny” Bush, Westfield, IN., twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Richard M. Houston, second husband, James H. Bush, one sister, Opal Smith, & two brothers, James & Keith Skinner.
A Funeral service will be held Friday, June 4, at 11:00 A.M. at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home with Earl Piper officiating, burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, June 3 for 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
