

Betty Lucille Walls 87 passed away on December 16, 2025 at 11:05am at Salem Crossing nursing home. She was born October 31, 1938 in Columbus, Indiana. She was raised in Brown County, Indiana by Elmer Mullis and Lottie Harden Mullis. She was a Petro until she was married. She was a resident of Bartholomew County.
She married Harold Lee Walls on December 27, 1957, and he survives. They spent sixty-seven years together and would have been sixty-eight in a few days.
They had two daughters Sherry(Gary) Lovins of Columbus, Indiana and Marilyn (Tony) Martin of Vallonia, Indiana.
Betty also had five grand children she adored: Brad (Michelle) Lovins, Mark (Lisa) Carmichael, Kim (Joe) Hardesty, Anthony Martin, and Nichole (Shannon) Sebastin. She also had several great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Betty was a 1957 graduate of Brown County High School where she was on the glee club and was a spelling bee champion. She was a caregiver of her family and enjoyed taking care of others in need. She had a heart of gold and was the sweetest woman you would ever meet. She loved to garden, go camping and spend as much time with her loved ones as possible. Everyone also loved her cooking. She was the best cook and cooked everything with love.
A memorial visitation will be held on December 20, 2025, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, located at 1682 State Road 135 N, Nashville, Indiana, 47448. The funeral service will follow at the same location, starting at 12:00 pm.
Betty will be laid to rest at Duncan Cemetery in Nashville.
