Caelan Connor Stanley

Caelan Connor Stanley passed away on March 31, 2026. Caelan was 21 years old. Caelan was the child of Rich and Clara Stanley and the brother of Ricky Stanley, who graduated from Brown County High School in 2021. Caelan attended Brown County junior high and high school and graduated in 2023. In high school, Caelan played soccer, enjoyed art, lifted weights, and worked most summers as a lifeguard. He enlisted in the Army after graduation and was trained in explosive ordnance disposal. After training, he was stationed in Baumholder, Germany, and he had recently completed a deployment to Kosovo.

Although Caelan’s life was cut short, he was a bright light to his family and others. He was a deep thinker, caring towards others and fun-loving. He will be deeply missed by his family and those who have known him. Caelan’s extended family is from South Dakota and South Korea.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Agnes Catholic Church on Saturday, April 18 at 10:30 a.m. and will be open to the public. Private Family Military Honors will be held after mass. He will be buried at the Lanham Ridge Road Cemetery, close to his family home.
