Charles Raymond Hudson

Charles Raymond Hudson, 83, of Nashville, IN passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2014. He was born September 15, 1931 in Terre Haute, IN the son of the late Irene Evans Hudson and Raymond Wylie Hudson.

Charles grew up in Bloomington and Indianapolis. He graduated from Shortridge High school in 1949.

Charles was a U.S. Air Force Korean Veteran. After serving in the Air Force he attended Indiana University. He married Nancy Sweetman in 1953 and graduated from Indiana University in 1958. After graduation he attended Indiana University Law School.

Charles worked for Indiana University and the State of Indiana heading several licensing boards. He retired in 1986 and he and his wife spent the winters in Florida. He was a member of the Nashville United Methodist Church and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed the woods and spending time with his family and friends. He will be deeply missed.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Nancy Sweetman Hudson and his three children, Catherine Menke, Carrie Ruth Barker and her husband Doug, and Emrie Raymond Hudson and his wife Trish and their son Jordan Hudson.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Charles Raymond Hudson will be held in the Spring of 2015.
