Charles Kim Tidd

Charles Kim Tidd, 79, of Nashville, IN. passed away April 4 at Indiana University Health Bloomington Hospital. He was born March 30, 1932 in Indianapolis, IN. to Charles Kim Tidd, Sr. & Muriel Ruth ( Petrie) Tidd.

Mr. Tidd had a God given talent for sports & became an accomplished athlete winning All State Honors, which earned him a full scholarship to Iowa State University. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1954 with a B.S. Degree. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. Charles was a lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force from 1954-1958.He was a business manager for athletic departments at Iowa State University, Indiana State University ,Kansas State University, & Tulane University. He was director of event centers in Terre Haute, IN. & Boulder, CO.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne E. (Slade) Tidd, Nashville, IN. three daughters, Lauren Elizabeth Simmons, Pomona, CA., Leslie Anne Tidd, Bloomington, IN. & Lynne Allison Coverdale, Westfield, IN., brother, William George “Bill” Tidd, Carmel, IN., grand & great grandchildren, & nephews.

His funeral service will be held Thursday, April 7 at 11:30 A.M. at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home with military rites conducted by Brown County Veteran’s Honor Guard, burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery. Pastor Phil Barrett will officiate. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Thursday, April 7 from 10:30 A.M – 11:30 A.M.
