David W. Davies

David W. Davies, M.D., F.R.C.P., age 73 passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday August 19, 2011 at his residence in Brown County. Mr. Davies was born on October 15, 1937 in Bargoed, United Kingdom to Alwyn and Nancy (George) Davies. He married his long time friend and sweetheart Barbara (Warwick) Davies who survives in Brown County. Mr. Davies was a retired Anesthesiologist who practiced in both the United Kingdom and Canada. Mr. Davies is also survived by his son, David R. (Carrie) Davies of Columbus, In., his daughter, Suzanne (Mark) Withers of Seattle, Wa., four grandchildren, Zac and Hannah Davies of Columbus and Dylan and Annie Withers of Seattle. Mr. Davies also leaves behind one brother, Peter Davies of the United Kingdom and one sister, Ann Leahy of Canada. Mr. Davies was preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Serivce, conducted by Pastor John Armstrong, will be held at the Grace Lutheran Church located at 3201 Central Ave., Columbus, Indiana 47203 on Tuesday August 30, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. with a meal and fellowship to follow the service. Memorial contributions may be made to either the church or Hospice of South Central Indiana located at 2626 E. 17th Street, Columbus, Indiana 47201.
