Donald Preston Ramsey

Donald P. Ramsey, 92, of Nashville passed away on Friday February 4, 2011 at the Brown County Health and Living Center in Nashville. He was born on January 8, 1919 in Marion County to the late William P. and Dorothy (Mosson) Ramsey.

He retired from the US Postal Service in Indianapolis and was a minister for over 70 years. He was a 1937 graduate of Southport High School and was ordained in 1944 in the Grace Gospel Fellowship. He hosted a Radio Bible Time program in Columbus and was a member of the Brown County, IN and Illinois and Kentucky Ministerial Associations.

He is survived by 2 Sons and Wives: Harley & Shirley Ramsey of Beech Grove, Paul & Sandee Ramsey of Seymour, and 2 Daughters and husbands: Ruth & Larry Voils of Brown County and Becky & Greg Streetman of Ellaville, Georgia., 14 Grandchildren and 22 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, His Wife: Nellie (Parris) Ramsey in 2001 one Son: Donald A. Ramsey and 3 brothers and 2 Sisters.

Friends may call on the family from 11AM to 12 Noon on Monday February 7 at the New Life Community Church in Nashville. The service will follow at 12 Noon at the Church on Monday, conducted by family members.

Burial will follow at the Unity Baptist Cemetery in Brown County. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Grace Gospel Bible College in care of the Funeral Home.
