Gary Ivan Snider

Gary Ivan Snider, 82, of Brown County, IN passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born March 31, 1943, in Indianapolis, IN the son of the late Ivan and Edna Snider.

Gary was a Vietnam Navy Veteran. He retired from General Motors after 35 years of service. He was very family oriented and loved his grandchildren dearly. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, archery, looking for mushrooms, planting flowers, meteorology, nature, and feeding the birds, squirrels, and racoons. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Gary is survived by his wife Barbara Snider; his three sons, Gary Ivan Snider Jr., Ron Montgomery, and Billy Campbell; his two daughters, Heidi Kaneshiro and her husband Kam, and Holly Farabaugh; his beloved nine grandchildren, Nick, Janica, Samson, Keefer, Rider, Kaylie, Phebe, Meleah, and Bowie; brother-in-law, Bill Smith and his wife Cheryl; sister-in-law, Georgia Snider; and a niece, Jenny.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dick Snider; and a son-in-law, Ryan Farabaugh.

Funeral services to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 20, 2026, at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Needmore Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday from Noon to 1:00 p.m.
