

Gayle D. David, age 75, of Nashville, died Wednesday afternoon at his daughter’s residence. Born March 23, 1936 in Brown County, he was the son of Charles David, Sr. and Edna (Hutchison) David. He retired from Cummins Engine in Columbus and later worked as a bus driver for the Brown County School Corporation. He was engaged in farming, raising Belted Galloway cows and caring for the veterinary needs of his animals as well as the veterinary needs of his friends and neighbors animals. He also loved horse and gun trading.
He is survived by his children and their spouses: Kim and Mike Maus, of Nashville; Rick and Jill David of Freedom and Mick David of Indianapolis; the mother of his children, Nancy (Dillingham) David of Nashville; five grandchildren: Mallory Maus, Brennen Maus, Trevor David, Jacob Rector and Katelyn Rector and two brothers: Charles David, Jr. and James David, both of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Pauline Brown and three brothers, Carl David, Donald David and Kenneth David.
The funeral service will be on Monday, January 16 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home in Nashville with Rev. Paul Hardin officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Nashville. Friends may visit the family on Sunday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
