OBITUARY
George A. Bredewater
April 5, 1925 – May 31, 2011
George Bredewater, 86, of Indianapolis, died May 31, 2001. He was a former resident of Brown County, Indiana. George was born in Indianapolis on April 5, 1925 to George W. & Betty Bredewater. He graduated from Washington High School. George retired from his position as director of Special Projects at the Indianapolis Water Company, where he worked for 31 years. During his years at the water company, George was a member of the Universal Club, a volunteer for the Jr. Achievement, & was an active participant in Toastmasters. George spent his retirement living in Brown County, where he served as President of Indiana Heritage Arts, President of the Brown County Library Board, & President of the Brown County Water Utility. George was an avid & talented artist as well as a skilled photographer. Some of his work was entered in the Hoosier Salon & the Indiana State Fair, for which one photograph won 1st prize. George is survived by his wife, Nancy P. Bredewater, two step-children, & four grandchildren. George is preceded in death by his parents & his brother Robert Karl Bredewater. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 3:00 P.M. at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135 North, Nashville, IN. 47448. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M. at the funeral home on Saturday.
