I remember Uncle Eugene as a fun loving great guy! I remember going back East and visiting with him and Aunt Joyce a few times when I was still in school. The last time I remember seeing him was when he came out to my sister's wedding in the Chiracahua Mts. That was a long time ago. He will be greatly missed but always remembered.

I always knew him as Uncle Eugene.
I remember he always showed up different times in my life and I always looked forward to seeing him. We would talk about the family tree when I got older. His caring face was the first I saw the morning after my sister died. He gave me medicine from my doctor in case what Heidi had was contagious. He then asked me if I wanted to go home since mom had sent me to a friend's house after the ambulance took Heidi. He was my favorite uncle!

I have known the Powell’s (Gene,Joyce,Dawn and Greg) since my birth. I always referred to Gene as “uncle Powell” over the years as his health began to decline I visited him in various hospitals and never once heard him complain. He was a great man and will be missed by all who knew him. Rest In Peace uncle Powell, your reward is great.
