Gloria Jean Locke

Gloria Jean Loyal Locke, 81, of Nashville passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023 in I.U. Health, Methodist Hospital. She was born December 10, 1942 in Indianapolis to Edward T. Loyal and Mary I. Welch Loyal. She was retired from General Electric/Western Electric.

Survivors include her daughter, Stephanie Babcock of Castle Rock, Colorado; two sons, John (Julie) Locke of Morgantown and Steven Locke of Bloomington; five grandchildren, Allen Cody II, Jennifer Patterson, Brandy Yorn, Larrysa Locke and Nathan Babcock; 10 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; two sisters, Patty Thornburg and Mary Katherine Crank; two brothers, Jimmy (Carol) Loyal and John (Diane) Loyal; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert J. Locke; a daughter, Melissa Locke; two great grandsons, Damien Patterson and John Wayne Baker; and two sisters, Marjorie Applegate and Edna Lawrence.

Gloria was graduate of St. Mary’s High School and had attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, doting on her grandchildren, reading and going out with her friends.
