

Ida Catherine (Welcher) Irvin, 80, of Gosport went home to be with her Lord on August 1, 2012. She was a resident of the Gosport Nursing Home. Ida was born October 4, 1931 in Bargersville, In. the daughter of Johnny and Cora (Zimmerman) Welcher.
Ida worked as an LPN and was a member of the Spearsville Pilgrim Holiness Church. She enjoyed crocheting and eating Chinese Food.
She will be greatly missed by her loving husband; Sam Alton Irvin of Auburn, In., her daughters; Barbara (Dwight) Brock, Martinsville and Carolyn (Glen) Maxwell, West Palm Beach, Fl., stepsons; Jim (Sherry) Irvin, Auburn and Jerry (Renee’) Irvin, Fishers, In. as well as 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Bobby Richart, 2 brothers; Bill Welcher and Dean Welcher.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, August 5 at 1:30 P.M. at Bond-Mitchell funeral Home with burial to follow at Bethel Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday, August 4 from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Gosport Nursing Home facilities and staff for all of their loving care and attention they showed Ida during her stay there.
