I spent many late nights during my high school years sitting and chatting with Mrs Kylander, as the rest of her family would turn in early, listening to her philosophy of life and telling her of my aspirations. She was always ready with opinion and guidance closed out with a hug that only love could produce. Through the years I traveled and did not keep in touch as much as I would have liked, but regardless how long it had been since last I saw her, I could count on getting caught up on all the happening in her family and the community. Through most of my Military years she sent me a gift subscription to the Brown County Democrat . I loved reading of my home town and sharing the Sheriff's log with my buddies. Not many a Christmas or Birthday past without a card or note of good wishes signed Janice and Chet. I cherished her loving spirit and vibrant soul. I am certain Janice and Chet influenced me in many ways and although I was a tough nut to crack with their love and guidance I became an ok guy. With much love and respect to the entire Kylander family for sharing such a treasure as Janice.

I shared many wonderful moments with Janice and Chet when we sang in the choir at the Methodist Church and then when they became residents of Willow Manor. It brings a smile to my face when I think of Janice singing in God's choir. Hallelujah!
