Jack attended St. Joseph’s Regional High School in Montvale, New Jersey and University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Jack was a Vietnam War veteran who served in the Army’s 101st Airborne Division.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents John and Kathleen Garrety and his beloved nephew, Brian Ward.
Jack is survived by his sister, Kathy Ward and her husband Tom, his nephew Matt and his wife Amy and their two daughters Madison and Autumn and Jack’s niece, Kim and her husband, Ross and their daughter, Olivia. and also his sister Marcy Darling.
Jack loved humor, news, golf, tennis and dogs and birds that he enjoyed in his beloved Nashville home – that he never wanted to leave.
