Obituary of Linda Lou Salmon
Linda Lou Salmon, 84, of Nashville, IN passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021. She was born March 4, 1936 in Frankfort, Indiana the daughter of the late Charles and Marguerite (Pyle) Hood. Linda graduated from Frankfort High School in 1953. Later she took classes at Purdue University and St. Mary’s of the Woods. She married the late James M. Salmon on May 23, 1954. Linda was a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority, she served as president of the auxiliary chapter. She worked several years at Clinton County Hospital where she started the patient representative program. It was at this time she introduced the Life Line (Care Line) System. This was a monitoring device for the elderly and disabled. While employed at the hospital she received the honor of being chosen “Co Employer of the Year”. Later in her life she worked at Salmon Insurance Office. She was always very active and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Linda is survived by her three sons who she was blessed with; Brian Hood Salmon and his wife Lori of Arborvale, West Virginia, James Bradley Salmon and his wife Jocelyn of Hawaii, and Brent Charles Salmon and his wife Chelsea of Henderson, Nevada; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James M. Salmon, and a sister, Beverly Neal. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
