

Marjorie Maxine (Auer) Fremion, 93 of Franklin, In., passed away Sunday January 8, 2017, at Johnson Memorial Health in Franklin. She was born December 12, 1923, in Coesse, Indiana, daughter of Harmon and Helen (Creager) Auer. She married Clarence George Fremion April 8, 1943, who preceded her in death January 9, 2010.
Marjorie, who lived in Fort Wayne and then later in LaGrange, was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fort Wayne. After retiring from Sears, she became a housewife dedicating herself to being a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will greatly be missed by her family.
She is survived by two daughters; Mary (Charles) Backofen, Morgantown, In.; Jean (Gary Litke) Fremion, LaGrange, In.; one son; Richard (Ann) Fremion, LaGrange, In.; three Grandchildren; Marc (Tricia) Backofen, Fishers, In.; Lora (Tim) Powers, Chicago, Il.; Maryann (David) Thomas, Cleveland, OH.; four Great-grandchildren; Jack and Owen Backofen; Audrey and Ryan Powers. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister.
A funeral service conducted by Pastor David Petersen will be held on Friday January 13, 2016 at 1:30 PM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 202 W. Rudisill Blvd., Fort Wayne, In., with one hour visitation prior to service. Interment will immediately follow the service at the St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Fort Wayne.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made in Marjorie’s memory to the church.
