Mark Edwin Daugherty

Mark Edwin Daugherty, 76, of Nashville, Indiana, passed away on July 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Mark was born in Elwood, Indiana on December 13, 1949 to Jean and Paul Daugherty. He graduated from Frankton High School in 1967, then attended Miami of Ohio university. He received his AS in architectural drafting from Lain Technical Institute in 1971. Mark worked at Force Construction in Columbus, Indiana for 5 years, then went on to start his own architectural drafting business in 1977. He was self-employed for the remainder of his life, except for a time as a construction projects manager for Kiel Bros. Oil Company.

Mark deeply loved his family and God. He had a variety of interests, including bicycling, gardening, architecture, reading, music, cats, and pens. He was married to his loving wife, Chisato, for 35 years. Mark had four children: Cory, Travis, Kira, and Laurel; eight grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

Mark was a member of Parkview Church of the Nazarene in Nashville, Indiana.

Visitation will be held at Parkview Church of the Nazarene from 4 to 8pm on Thursday, July 16 and then from 10:30am to 11:30am on Friday, July 17. The memorial service will be at Parkview at 11:30am on Friday, July 17, officiated by Pastor David Hayes.
