Paul “Gun” O. Williamson, 75, Brown County
Paul “Gun” O. Williamson, 75, passed away Sunday morning, May 1, 2011, at home in Brown County.
Paul was born June 17, 1935, in Brown County, Indiana, to Paul D. and Edna (Powell) Williamson, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judith “Judy” (King) Williamson, who he married on December 31, 1961. Also surviving are their five children, all of Brown County, Indiana: Brett F. Williamson, Bart D. Williamson, Brad L. Williamson, Benita F. Fox (husband, Tom), and Beth A. Mulry (husband, Rob); four grandchildren, Malcolm Mulry, Rachel Fox, Shane Williamson, and Isaac Fox along with one great-grandchild, Ryder Wray.
Paul is also survived by one brother, Kenneth Williamson (wife, Betty). He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
Paul retired after working as a self-employed carpenter for many years in Brown County. He loved being outdoors, watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports, spending time with his family, fishing and tinkering with lawn mowers. Paul served as a gunners mate in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Services will be held at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home on Thursday, May 5 at 11:00 A.M. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 4 from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. Interment will take place at a later date.
