

Penny Jo Arvin-Allen, 64, of Nashville, Indiana passed away Tuesday evening, September 9,2025 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus. Born October 25,1960 in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of John and Linda (Craig) Arvin. Penny was a proud graduate of Brownsburg High School, class of 1979, where she was a member of the springboard diving team. She owned her own business working as a certified dog breeder. She loved caring for the many dogs she was a part of through many years, riding and breaking horses, listening to music and playing her banjos and guitars. However, her greatest love was for her children.
Penny is survived by her loving husband, Dale Allen, of Nashville, to whom she married on June 16, 1995 in Danville, Indiana, her parents, John and Linda Arvin, of Danville, her children, Shaun (Andrea) Miller, of Greencastle, Indiana, Danielle Allen, of Kokomo, Indiana, Mark (Kristiana) Miller, of Danville, Justin (Sydney) Allen, of Indianapolis, Izzy (Clay) Allen, of Nashville and Dylan Allen, of Nashville; six grandchildren, Lilly Miller, Jules Miller, Harry Miller, Myles Miller, Liam Miller, and Lucas Miller and four siblings, Paul (Melody) Arvin, of Pennsylvania, Allyson(Daniel) Clark, of Danville, Shannon (Scott) Larson, of Danville and J.P. (Deedra) Arvin, of Brazil, Indiana.
Penny was preceded in death by her Grandmother Craig.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Monday, September 15 at 11:00 a.m. at the Duncan Cemetery on Yellowood Road located in rural Nashville, Indiana.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to any animal care organization or to the charity of one’s choice.
