Phillip Drew Farlee

Phil was a graduate of Bloomington High School, attended Trevecca Nazarene College, and was a naval reservist serving briefly between the Korean and Viet Nam wars aboard the aircraft carrier USS Franklin D. Roosevelt on a Mediterranean deployment.

Phil married Carol O. McGee of Nashville, Indiana on May 13, 1961 and is survived by Carol and their two sons, Lenny Farlee of Lafayette, Indiana and Lonnie Farlee (Lori) of Nashville, Indiana and three grandchildren, Lark (Trae Carroll), Logan, and Levi Farlee.

Phil worked at and retired from Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Indiana after 33 years. Phil was a member of the Church of the Nazarene since his youth, most recently the Parkview Church of the Nazarene in Brown County, Indiana. Phil was blessed with a beautiful tenor voice and used it to God’s glory in gospel quartets, church choir and song leader, and community choirs. His love was his wife Carol, time with his family, and singing.

Phil and Carol lived most of their married life in Brown County and loved time outdoors tending yard and garden, serving in a variety of capacities in their church, and driving through Brown County State Park enjoying the beauty of nature.
