Thelma Doris Rommel

Thelma Doris (Deetch) Rommel, 85, of Bloomington & formerly of Louisville, KY., passed away November 21 in Nashville, IN. She was born March 14, 1927 in Louisville. She was the daughter of Ruddell & Lucy (Rose) Deetch, they preceded her in death. Thelma received her Bachelor of Music Education from Eastern Kentucky University & was a substitute music teacher. She gave private clarinet lessons in her studio. On June 5, 1949 Thelma was married to John Phillip Rommel, he preceded her in death. She was a homemaker, loving mother & grandmother, loved to read, & crochet. She was a member of Harvey Browne Presbyterian Church, Louisville.

Thelma is survived by her son John Rommel, daughter-in-law Lorin Rommel, & grandchildren Anna Rommel & Nicholas Rommel. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, & her daughter Janet Lynne Rommel.

A Graveside Service will be held, Tuesday, November 27 at 11:00 A.M. at Evergreen Cemetery, 4623 Preston Hwy., Louisville. The family will receive visitors at the cemetery on Tuesday from 10:30-11:00 A.M.
