

Andrew “Andy” David Blomquist, 48, of Antioch, TN passed away Thursday evening, 8/22/2024, after a courageous and valiant battle with cancer. He was born in Edina, Minnesota and grew up in Hendersonville, TN and graduated from Hendersonville High School.
Andrew was preceded in death by his father, David Anders Blomquist and is survived by his wife, Emily (Stubljar) Blomquist, Antioch, TN, his mother, Beverly (Gilbertson) Blomquist, Hermitage, TN, sister and brother-in-law, Julie (Blomquist) and Kenny Davis and their children, nephews Michael and Dominic Davis, and niece Jordan Davis all of Hermitage, TN, his in-laws, Michael and Rebecca Stubljar of Gulf Shores, AL, his sister-in-law and husband, Mary Kate (Stubljar) and Rhett Brown, and their children, his nieces, Maitlyn and Mallory Brown of Foley, AL and countless friends.
Andrew was the proud owner of his landscaping/lawncare business, Volunteer Landscaping, for over 20 years. He truly enjoyed his work and many of his clients became good friends of the family. Andrew’s enthusiasm and love of sports were widely known especially for the University of Tennessee football and basketball, the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins. His servant heart brought tremendous joy towards his family and friends. Andrew had the best sense of humor and constantly entertained those around him. His laughter, singing of 80’s songs and entertaining stories will never be forgotten. Andrew also had a compassion and kindness toward animals as his home always had a dog or two along with a few feline friends who will miss him dearly.
The celebration to honor Andrew’s life will be held on Saturday, August 31 at Hibbett & Hailey Funeral Home, 429 Donelson Pike, Nashville, TN. Visitation will be held from 12-2 pm, followed by a memorial service at 2 pm, officiated by the Reverend Jonathan Moore of Grace Family Church in Canfield, Ohio (uncle of Andrew’s brother-in-law Kenny Davis). If inclined, the family requests that any donations made in Andrew’s name to be sent to the Skin Cancer Foundation and/or Nashville PITTIE Rescue organization.
