Angelia Duncan

Angelia was born on April 19, 1926 in Giva, Greece. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Rebecca Nicholson, her brothers, Tom Nicholson and Connie Nicholson. Angelia came to Nashville in 1946 to work in her family business. She established Nicholson Cleaners and Alterations. She also invested in local real estate and rental properties. In 1973 she received the Lighthouse Award from Women Professionals International. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and the Ladies Philoptochos Society. Her love of the church was obvious to everyone and she was a true leader in helping Holy Trinity grow by leaps and bounds in recent years. Her 100th birthday party celebration at the church was a confirmation of what she had meant to the Greek Orthodox community. She is survived by three children, Georgia Duncan, Joe (Kim) F. Duncan, Jr. Becky Duncan, five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great great grandson, several nieces, nephews and Godchildren.

Services will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Nashville, Tn. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at Marshall Donnelly Combs Funeral Home at 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm following at 6:00 pm will be the Trisagion. Funeral will take place at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 10:00 am. Angelia will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee.
