Anita Drake Weimar

Anita Drake Weimar, 81, of Franklin passed away peacefully at St. Thomas West Hospital on August 22, 2026. She was a proud Hillsboro High School alumnus, class of 1962. She was married to James “Jim” Weimar, also a Hillsboro alumnus, for 53 years until his passing in 2016. Anita was born in Clarksville, Tennessee, the eldest child of Louis and Mildred Drake, on September 22, 1944.

Anita was an avid craftswoman who painted, sewed, knitted, and quilted in addition to many other crafts. She had a particular passion for quilting and won several awards at local fairs. She was a longtime member of a local quilting club that often met at her home, a place in which she took great pride. She and Jim loved going to Titans football games, more when they won, but most when accompanied by grandchildren. She was a devout animal lover and spent much time watching the wildlife in her backyard.

Anita was an active participant in the businesses Jim built – Mid-State Industrial Supply, Inc., J.B. Weimar, Inc. and Weimar Marketing, Inc. – until they sold the businesses and retired in 2015. She had a great passion for fast food and particularly enjoyed meals from Sonic, Steak and Shake, and Brixx Pizza, especially when her grandson was working there.

Anita is survived by her children Deborah Yepsen (Ray), Karen Weimar, Brad Weimar (Laura) and grandchildren Kirby Yepsen, Erin Yepsen Earnhardt (Christopher), Hunter Weimar (Maddy), Elise Weimar and Parker Weimar, sister Barbara Jones, and her children. Anita will be deeply missed but she will forever remain in our hearts.

A Gathering Family & Friends will be held at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

A Celebration of Life will take place at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 1:00 pm.

A Committal Service will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
