Ann Joyce Dawson

DAWSON, Ann Joyce Parker. Born July 31, 1929 died March 6, 2013. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Joseph A. Dawson. Preceded in death by her parents, Carl Parker, Sr. and Sally Hooper Parker; her brother, Bill Parker and their precious son, James Thomas Dawson. Joyce is survived by her brother, Carl Parker and his wife Pat. ( Sarasota, FL); sisters, Catherine Dillingham and husband, Paul (Nashville) and Jean Taylor and husband Bob (Brentwood) their grandchildren Renae and Ernie. Joyce graduated from Hume Fogg High School and went right into the work field. She worked at the State Library and Archives for some time before going to work at Vanderbilt Hospital in the office of the Diabetes Center. She retired after 30 years. Joyce was a member of the Church at Woodmont Hills. A caring and giving person, she will be so missed by her family and friends. The family wants to thank the nursing staff at third floor surgical at Southern Hills Hospital for their loving care of Joyce. A visitation will be at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home on Sunday, March 10 from one o’clock until four o’clock in the afternoon and where services will be held in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall at 11:30 in the morning of Monday March, 11, 2013.
