Anna Mitchell Forrester

FORRESTER, Anna Mitchell, age 89, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband John Joseph Forrester; siblings, Chris Anderson, Velma Phillips, Edith Mitchell, Lloyd Mitchell and Ray Mitchell. Anna is survived by her children, Mark (Elaine) Forrester, Linda (Dennis) Winters, and Joyce (Peter) McClain; grandchildren, Adrienne (Jeremiah) McDonald, Emily Forrester, Annie (Morgan) Cox, Pete (Sara) McClain, and Shelley (Zack) Howell; great grandchildren, Jacob and Jackson McDonald, Cayden Hoke and Layne Howell; sister, Freda Mitchell Gilbert and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Forrester was a natural artist, serving as organist at Inglewood United Methodist for 38 years and, over the last several years, spent a lot of time quilting. Visitation with family and friends will be held from one until eight o’clock in the evening on Thursday, the 14th of March, 2013 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at one o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, the 15th of March, 2013 at Inglewood United Methodist Church with visitation held two hours prior to the service. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family requests that memorial contributions be sent to the Nashville chapter of The American Guild of Organists endowment fund at 5111 Marc Court, Nashville, TN 37211.
