Anne Lowther Brodbine of Easington Colliery, County Durham UK passed away on April 4th, 2025 at the age of 82 in Nashville, TN. She passed peacefully surrounded by loved ones and her cats, Annie and Lady.
Anne was a devote Catholic, business owner, foster mother for newborns, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She loved her family, cats, reading, drinking English tea, thrift shopping and keeping up with relatives in England. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Brodbine. Her mother, Matilda Lowther. Her sisters, Mary Lowther and Sybil Nicholson. Her nephew, Richard Gibson. Her best friends, Irene Kelly and Diane Tose. She is survived by her sisters, Lilian Quincy and Ellen Proctor. Her brother, Lawrence Lowther. Her nieces, Louise, Denise, Julie, Tracy, Serita, Lydia and Kelly. Her nephews, Shaun, Paul, Gary, David and Brian. Her children, Chris (Maya), Andrew and Megan Brodbine. Her grandchildren, Reagan and Lucy.
Her children could never get Anne to order hot water instead of hot tea when she was going out to eat. She always had her own tea bags in her purse as she was very particular about her tea. This would always lead to confusion as she would undoubtfully forget to order hot water and would instead order an actual hot cup of tea. This ensured that every meal began with chaos and confusion and a repeated point of conversation. That quick will forever be missed by her children.
The family would like to thank Moises with Cura for Care, Erica (Anne’s favorite caregiver) and Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in her final days.
Family and friends are invited to visitation service to be held at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home on April 9th at 4pm-7pm. All are invited to mass service at St. Ann Catholic Church at 5101 Charlotte Ave, Nashville, TN 37209 on April 10th at 10am with visitation to begin at 9am.
