I first met Arnie in October when he started work at Philips.  I had begun to develop a great working relationship with him that was getting to the point where I looked forward to chatting with him every day.  His sense of humor was just like mine, and I enjoyed "ribbing" him as often as I could. Just being in his presence could make someone feel better.

I am sorry that I did not have the opportunity to attend the memorial. 
I so wanted to tell his family how much he meant to me in person and how lucky they were to have such a special, gentle man in their lives.

My condolences to you all for your loss, and please know his loss has been felt by many at his workplace, by many who have been touched by him  just like me, who you will never meet.

He was very special, and he is missed.

Arnie was a great person and seemed to genuinely care about everyone he met.  I'm very lucky to have had the opportunity to work with him.  My prayers are with your family.
