

Arthur H. Wiseman, age 97, passed away August 18, 2015. Survived by loving wife of 69 years, Mozelle; his children, Janet [Wiseman] Dutton [H. W.], Emily [Wiseman] Schaeffer [Prentiss (Rusty) Schaeffer]; grandchildren, Shane Dutton, Ardena Dutton [Murphy], Caleb Dutton, and Lillian Schaeffer. He has 8 great-grandchildren. A native of Nashville, TN he is a graduate of Hume Fogg High School. He served in the Army [95th Infantry Division] from 1941-1945. He served in Holland, Germany and Northern France. He survived the Normandy Invasion [Omaha Beach] and achieved the rank of 1st Lieutenant. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal, American Defense Service Medal, European-American Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, Normandy Invasion Medal, WWII Victory Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the American Campaign Medal. He worked at McQuiddey Printing Company for 35 years. Arthur was a devoted family man. His greatest joy was the love of his life, Mozelle, and spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed working on old mustangs and did missionary work through his church. He loved his church family and attended Lebanon Road Church of Christ for 60 years. Celebration of Life services will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Nashville, TN on Friday, August 21. Visitation from 12:30 until 2:15. Service begins at 2:30. In place of flowers gifts may be made to Alive Hospice and Wounded Warriors Project.
