FELCH, Barbara Anne Minkoff, born in Rock Hill, SC, on October 16, 1945, passed away early Friday morning at the age of 67. In 1969, Barbara Anne moved from Woodbury, NJ, to Nashville, where her new family life began with her husband, Jim, and their two sons, J.W. and Thomas. She spent the majority of a rewarding teaching career at The Ensworth School and touched countless lives in her role as Madame Felch. Her unparalleled love for family, faith, and community was an enduring quality that touched anyone whose life crossed her path. Always looking for the next great adventure, Barbara Anne loved traveling the world, visiting with friends, and perhaps, most of all, spending time with her three boys. The remarkable bravery she exhibited during her life-long battle with lupus serves as inspiration for many who currently struggle with the disease. Barbara Anne always loved a good party; she and her light-up-the-room personality will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Avaleen Hannon Minkoff, and is survived by her husband, Dr. James (Jim) W., her father, William T. Minkoff, Sr., her two brothers, William (Bill) T. Minkoff, Jr. (Elizabeth), and Thomas H. Minkoff (Elise), her two sons, J.W. (Andrea) and Thomas (Christina), her granddaughter, Cali, and an extended network of family and friends. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 5, and at 10 a.m., prior to the 11 a.m. memorial service, on Saturday, April 6. Both gatherings will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 3900 West End Ave., Nashville. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Hospital Hospitality House of Nashville or your favorite charity in Barbara Anne’s name.
