I'm sad to learn of Bernie passing. I worked with him for many years at SMC. He was definitely the best boss I had during my 30 year career. He had a great insight and could always turn a difficult situation into a simple solution. I learned much working with him.
In our last conversation he spoke excitedly about his new love, his granddaughter. I will cherish my wonderful memories of him.

I was so sad to hear about Bernie passing.  I worked with him many years ago at SMC.  He was not only incredibly smart, but also had a great sense of humor.  I learned so much from him and have wonderful memories from our group in Inventory Control.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I worked with Bernie at SMC he was a great guy and will never be forgotten.

I worked with Bernie years ago at Service Merchandise but saw him a few years ago at the SMC reunion.  Bernie was a one of a kind guy and I enjoyed working with him tremendously.

 Bernie was a great neighbor and friend. I will miss seeing him. He always talked about his family and he was very proud of his children.

Mary and I were very sad to hear about the passing of Bernie. Even thought I only knew Bernie for a few years, I enjoyed listening to his stories. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
